Social Currency launch
After being incorporated in November 2017, on the 1st of September 2018, Social Currency officially launched, with our founder Lisa leaving the corporate office behind.
Social Currency is an accounting and business advisory firm with the purpose of changing the impact of risk factors and helping vulnerable kiwi kids to be successful.
We do this by giving 10% of sales to mentoring programs and support programs for at risk kids.
Shortly after launching Social Currency, we were contacted by Stuff.co.nz who came to interview us about the purpose and mission in our social impact business.
We talked about the reasons for starting a business that tackles such a large social problem, and Lisa mentioned her son Dakota as being the inspiration behind the “creating an even playing field” focus.
