Talking social impact with AFQY

Recently our Founder Lisa went along to the BNZ Partner Centre in Christchurch to catch up with Ryan Ashton of AFQY (A Few Quiet Yarns, based in Auckland).

Lisa discusses making a positive impact in her family and the world around us.

Hear about Lisa’s journey from "single mother", to "super-Social-Enterprise-mum" (Ryan’s words).

Hear about raising her son and starting a business, and giving 10% of revenue to make a difference to children in who are considered at risk.

From research and efforts, the social enterprise Social Currency invests in supporting organisations and resources to help vulnerable kiwi kids be successful when they are older despite the risk factors or statistics they may face.

The video has reached 2,300 views on LinkedIn and is a small way of reaching our clients and supporters so we can create more impact and do more good.

Thanks for having us Ryan and helping to share our story!

If you’d like to connect and support what we do, or take inspiration from our Social Impact focussed business which is aligned to life experiences and purpose, please get in touch.
